Marrybrown restaurant

Marrybrown Restaurant, a local franchise popular for it's 'Marrybrown Chicken Rice' bowed out of Matang Jaya area. The restaurant which was among the first few tenant of E-Mart Lee Ling in Matang Jaya is believed to have suffered a huge decline in dining visitors hence leading to it's closure.

A few visitors met also said that the dwindling customer service was one of the reason why Marrybrown failed to capture their attention, plus the fact that there is other better options nearby. With that, the slot under Singapore Chicken Rice remains empty and is rumored to be open for leasing.

Ayamku Restaurant opened its latest outlet in Matang jaya this month, hence signaling good prospect available for food operators in Matang Jaya. Previously, Matang Jaya only had Singapore Chicken Rice which enjoyed brisk business hence seeing them open two outlets in this emerging township.

Sugar Bun opened its outlet in Matang Jaya in 2008 (if not mistaken). The outlet opens two shop lots, and has been having good business ever since. It offers a wide range of Asian delights and have been praised by many for being on of the few outlets which have great service and quality.

Siang Siang Corner is undoubtedly the most famous food court of its kind in Kuching, and this outlet in Matang Jaya is no different. Having a wide range of food being sold under one roof, by numerous stalls, Siang Siang Corner Matang Jaya shares no different to it's brothers and sisters in other parts of Kuching.

Nevertheless, Siang Siang Corner Matang Jaya is best visited after 5pm as business and stalls tend to only open after that. Among the food available here are Sarawak laksa, kolok mee, porridge, chicken rice, malay muslim food and also mixed rice.
